To blog or not to blog - That is the question...

So I am getting used to all this Internet technology. A friend of mine recently told me about the concept of "blogging", a term I heard before, but wasn't quite sure what it meant. Essentially it is an electronic diary on the Internet and apparently a pretty popular trend on the net these days.

Incidentally, the blog is where you can catch my live travel reports when I am out of town and unable to update the main website.

At my friend's advice I started to create travelogues on my most recent trip to Spain, my best trip ever. In total I created 8 journal entries while I was in Spain, visiting places such as Barcelona, Tarragona, Valencia, Montserrat and the island of Ibiza. Since then I have already made another trip back to Europe, this time to Austria, Slovenia and Italy and I continue to share my thoughts and impressions as I go along.

Please excuse the fact that my websites are a bit basic. They are simply a tool to get me up on the web and to finally start sharing what I've been meaning to share for a long time now.

My blog site features my travelogues as well as useful practical travel information. In addition my writings include a lot of personal insights and reflections. One other really interesting part about my blog site is that I have a chance to include interviews with really cool people - experiend travellers, travel experts in different areas, and other interesting individuals that have a few fascinating things to say. Poke around and I am sure you will find some entertaining, informative but also thought-provoking articles on my site.

As this is also a personal journey, I contribute personal insights and reflections as well. Life is not just about travel, but there are many other issues to think about, some trivial and entertaining, others that are deeper, more serious. Life is a journey and while I am on this journey I hope to learn, get insights and maybe become just a little wiser.
